Electric Orange – Krautrock From Hell (2010)

Operating since the early 90’s, Electric Orange is surely one of the best German neo-kraut rock bands. At some point they have also tried a bit more modern touch, but are on their best on their early 70’s styled, lengthy and hypnotic jams full of organ, synthesizers, electric guitar, groovy bass, tribal drumming and psychedelic effects. Krautrock from Hell released on Sulatron is their latest album and includes an almost 80-minute-long dose of mind-expanding space music.

Electric Orange – Orange Commutation [1996]

I think we’ve told you about Electric Orange’s unique sound before. They’re German and they warmly fuse that hard-edged Kraut-Rock forward movement with a deliciously crunchy Hammond organ that’s blended into some liquid psychedelic techno… A fine blend of obtuse dimensions – like Amon Duul meets Transglobal meets Orbital meets Neu meets Eat Static. Mostly it’s that distinctive Seventies German acid experimentation that gives it the edge… well worth you checking it out. –another review at… delerium records.

Overall, this is one of the more experimental and less like krautrock groove stuff that the band has made recently. Some of it is quite strange and very special but still really cool.
